Sentry middleware

Report function exceptions to Sentry with their Inngest function and event context. Initialize Sentry in your app, then register the middleware so reports follow the same policy as your other application errors.

Python setup

Initialize the Sentry SDK in your application, then register Inngest's SentryMiddleware on the client. Configure your Sentry DSN and sampling policy in your application's Sentry setup.

Initialize Python Sentry with sentry_sdk.init() before registering the middleware. Keep Sentry configuration in your app so the middleware uses the same reporting policy as your other code.

TypeScript v4

Sentry middleware captures exceptions, tracing, and Inngest context. TypeScript v3 middleware registration code does not apply to v4. Inngest traces still show the durable run and its steps. Use Sentry when you also need errors and trace context in your application monitoring system.
